Banking has changed... the world has gone "MAD" Do you remember when banking was conducted in the branch from 9-4 Monday through to Friday? Well not anymore! We now live in a world where Multiple Access Devices (MAD) are pervasive -- 1 in 2 of us now has a smartphone or tablet, or both -- and this is changing the way we consume products and services. Essentially, we want to be able to do things anytime, anywhere and across any channel -- banking included. And we want the experience to be rich and interactive. Banks face a significant challenge meeting customer expectations. Nonetheless, banks are struggling to offer customers the user experience they expect. The IT infrastructure at banks was put in place a long time ago -- in fact, in most cases, long before the internet. It was never designed for, and is struggling to cope with, a "MAD" world. Launching products and services across multiple channels and devices is taking too long, is too costly and the user experience is variable at best. Consequently, banks risk damaging their brand, are missing out on opportunities to increase wallet share and, most importantly, are in danger of losing their best customers to new banking market entrants. A new approach is needed. The only way for banks to get ahead in a "MAD" world is to take an entirely new approach. We are undergoing a generational shift in technology and consumer behaviour and banks need a next-generation answer. The answer is to adopt a User Experience Platform (UXP). A UXP introduces a presentation layer across a bank's IT infrastructure which allows them to launch applications faster, generate a consistent user experience across all channels and, importantly, without compromising on security. Introducing Temenos Connect. Temenos Connect is a suite of front office products which combine the market leading UXP technology with the market leading banking application capabilities.
